The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Friday, April 21, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES:Sunny conditions are expected over places such as Maiduguri, Gusau, Damaturu, Nguru, Katsina, Kano and Sokoto within the forecast period.
Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 42℃and 18–29℃.
CENTRAL STATES:Partly cloudy conditions are expected in the morning hours over the region except in places such as Mambilla Plateau and Lafia where localised thunderstorms are expected. In the afternoon/evening hours, Localised thunderstorms are expected over the high grounds and areas such as Ilorin. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 38℃and 23 – 25℃.
SOUTHERN STATES:Cloudy morning is expected over the region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over the coastal cities such as Bayelsa, Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa, and Ikom in the morning hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated in the inland areas like Akure, Ado Ekiti, Benin, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Enugu, Owerri, Awka, Abakaliki and Obudu during the afternoon/evening period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 33 – 36℃and 23 – 25℃respectively.
