The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Thursday, April 20, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Moderate dust haze with localised visibility range of 2 – 5km is expected over places such as Maiduguri, Damaturu, Nguru, Katsina, Kano and Sokoto in the next 24hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 42℃and 17 – 25℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Increased cloudiness with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the high grounds such as Abuja, Makurdi, Jalingo, Mambilla, Lafia and Lokoja in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are anticipated over this region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 37 – 39℃and 25 – 27℃respectively except Jos 32/19℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over the region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over the coastal cities such as Lagos, Ijebu Ode, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Ikom and Warri in the morning hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated in the inland areas like Akure, Ado Ekiti, Benin, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Enugu, Owerri, Awka, Abakaliki and Obudu during the afternoon/evening period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 33 – 37℃and 22 – 26℃respectively.
