Anambra guber: NGIGE WAITING FOR OBIANO IN COURT •How he hopes to win at the Election Tribunal

While the supplementary governorship election in Anambra State is in progress, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Chris Ngige, is perfecting plans to use the court to overthrow the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Chief Willie Obiano, who is expected to be declared governor today or tomorrow.

Obiano led the first round of voting on November 16 and 17 with 174,710 votes and secured 25% in 18 of the 21 local government areas of the state but was not declared winner because the margin of victory over second-placed Comrade Tony Nwoye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was less that the canceled votes.

Ngige, who came third during the election, vowed to boycott the supplementary ballot after attempts by his party to force the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to cancel the election failed.

Writing this morning on his Facebook wall, his strong ally, Engr. Joe Igbokwe, disclosed that their attention has shifted to how to win at the election tribunal.

“Today INEC, APGA & PDP will perfect their plans and accomplish their electoral fraud in Anambra State,” Igbokwe, interim Publicity Secretary of APC in Lagos and one of the key figures in the Ngige campaign team, wrote.

On their next line of action, he wrote: “We will lie in wait for INEC, PDP, and AGPA in Court with facts and figures no one can dispute. We Will tell the court how INEC officials diverted electoral materials in APC strongholds. We will tell the Court how one Ms Oguntuase stole almost all the results sheets for reasons best known to her and INEC. We will tell the Court how INEC doctored the Voters Register 48 hrs to the election just to rig APGA in power by all means. We will tell the Court how Anambra REC was retained by INEC after we had raised an alarm that he is corrupt, old and hopelessly incompetent. We will tell the Court with pictures how Police worked with INEC and others to subdue and suppress APC. We will tell the Court that INEC cannot account for nearly 90,000 votes it gave to APGA just to stop APC.”
