Lawyers in Osun State have resumed their boycott of the courts over the increment of filing fees.
The lawyers started the boycott three weeks ago, then observed a truce but resumed after a Federal High Court in the state ordered the State Government to revert to the normal filing fees.
Speaking at the court today, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr Adeoye Muhydeen Abiodun, said the boycott has resumed.
He explained that the court has failed to comply with the valid order of the Federal High Court granted last week and so the lawyers’ boycott continues.
His words: “We want the State Government to direct all divisional registries to comply with the order of the Federal High Court and revert back to the former regime of filing fees through a written circular.
“Until that is done, the boycott continues.”
