The Osun State Police Command on Monday arraigned two men, Afeez Iyiola, 30, and Saheed Lasisi, 19, before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing 13 pieces of six yards of Canlilah fabrics.
The police prosecutor, Dopamu Busari, told the court that the duo stole the materials on the March 4, 2017 and that the materials are valued N15,000.
He added that the offences committed by the accused persons are contrary to and punishable under section 383 and section 516 of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.
The two accused persons however pleaded not guilty of the charges of burglary and theft levelled against them.
The counsel to the duo, Mrs Dada Adeyinka, also prayed the court to grant the accused persons bail in the most liberal terms.
In his ruling, Magistrate Olusola Aluko granted the duo the bail of N20,000 with two sureties in like sum. He also adjourned the case till March 25, 2017.
