Osun State Police Command yesterday arraigned a man, Sodiq Morufu, before an Osogbo magistrate court for allegedly breaking into a bakery and slapping its owner.
The police prosecutor, Ajayi Sunday, told the Court that Morufu allegedly broke into the bakery of one Bello Sadiat on February 26, 2017 and also slapped the woman.
He said that the accused person also stole four pieces of iron plate valued N4,500 and a Tecno phone of one Rilwan Bello.
He added that the offences committed by Morufu are contrary to and punishable under section 355, 390(9), 412 and section 413 (2) of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.
When his charges were read to him, Morufu pleaded not guilty. His counsel, Mrs Raji Abiodun, prayed the Court to grant her client bail in the most lenient terms.
The magistrate of the Court, Mrs Falilat Sodamade granted the accused person the bail of N200,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till April 12, 2017
