A die-hard Arsenal fan has lost his house after losing a bet during last weekend’s top-of-the-table English Premiership clash between leaders Arsenal and reigning champions Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Ugandan Henry Dhabasani was so convinced that the Gunners would beat hosts United that he betted with his HOUSE – only for United to come out on top thanks to Gunners’ old boy Robin Van Persie’s solitary head strike.
“Mr Dhabasani, who has three wives and five children, made the bet with his pal Rashid Yiga,” reports Daily Star of London.
“While Mr Dhabasani put his home on the line Mr Yiga staked his Toyota Premio car and his WIFE.
“The amazing bet took place in the town of Iganga in eastern Uganda and was reportedly overseen by community leaders.
“It is not the first time Arsenal’s fans have made the news this season, only recently a Liverpool fan was so angry at losing 2-0 to the Gunners that he shot his friend in the chest.”
