Brigadier General Dikko
The Commander, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General, Ahmad Mansur Dikko, has assured the management of Federal Government College (FGC), Ohafia, of the Brigade’s commitment to strengthening security around the school and its surrounding communities.
Brigadier General Dikko gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by the newly appointed Principal of FGC Ohafia, Mrs. Akala Modupe Ayodele, and her entourage to the Brigade Headquarters, Ohafia, Abia State.
Speaking on the purpose of the visit, Mrs. Ayodele explained that, as a newly appointed Principal, she sought to familiarise herself with the Brigade and establish a cordial working relationship with the military community.
She also highlighted concerns regarding the collapse of the school’s perimeter wall.
In his remarks, Brig Gen Dikko welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the visit.
He assured the Principal of the Brigade’s commitment to providing security within its area of responsibility, including the school and neighbouring communities.
He further advised her to maintain contact with the Commander, 14 Brigade Garrison, Lt Col JS Wudah, who oversees security within the local government area.
The Commander encouraged the Principal to formally communicate any accommodation needed by school teachers and assured of his support.
Highlights of the visit included signing of the visitors’ book, presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph which marked a step towards stronger cooperation between 14 Brigade Nigerian Army and Federal Government College Ohafia in promoting security and cordial relationship between both institutions.
