The founder of the fast-rising Obosi United FC, Chief Uzochukwu Epundu, has urged football loving people of Obosi to come out en masse and cheer their darling football club, Obosi United FC, to victory in their match against BONFA of Onitsha.

Obosi United and BONFA, which are in the group B of the Akubuike Anambra State Football League Competition, will trade tackles with each other at the Obosi township stadium on September 26, 2026.

While thanking the Anambra state football association for bringing football competition to the people at the grassroots, Epundu urged Obosi people to come out en masse and cheer their team to victory.

“This is the first time the Anambra Football Association is bringing football to our doorsteps. So it is my prayer that every son and daughter of Obosi will come on Saturday to cheer Obosi United to victory,” Epundu said.

Speaking further, Epundu said that the Obosi-based football club needed financial assistance to enable it play its away matches.

He begged the football loving people of Obosi and well-heeled natives of the town to offer financial help to the team.

In his own comment, the coach of Obosi United FC, Mr. Alex Agbanusi, expressed the optimism that his side would thrash their opponent in the Saturday match.

He, also, begged the people of Obosi to come out to watch the match and cheer Obosi United FC to victory.
