Arrival of sensitive materials
The Nation has gathered that all materials needed for Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State have arrived at the Registration Area Centre (RAC).
When The Nation visited the RAC Centre, Atile RA 09, located inside Ansar-Ul-Deen Grammar School, Atile, Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area, it was observed that INEC officials and ad hoc staff were cross-checking the list of staff present.
It was also gathered that all the materials, including BVAS machines, ballot papers, among other materials, have arrived at the Centre since morning, awaiting deployment to the various polling units on Saturday.
An official who spoke in confidence explained that the effort is to prevent late arrival of materials and personnel to the various polling units in the Ward.
He assured that the materials and officials would be deployed very early Saturday morning.
Security operatives were also seen present within the premises in good numbers.
Additionally, vehicles to convey the staff and materials were seen parked within the school premises. (The Nation)
