Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved minor adjustments to the composition of the State Executive Council thereby, dropping two Commissioners.
This was contained in a media statement signed and made available to journalists on Friday, by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
He said the move is part of the administration’s continuous efforts to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery across the state.
Gidado said that as part of the adjustments, the Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Investment , Mohammed Gamawa and the immediate past Commissioner for Education, who was subsequently reassigned to the Ministry of Power, science and Technology, Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam, are to exit the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
He said the Governor has also accepted the resignation of the former Commissioner for Rural Development and Special Duties, Faruk Mustapha.
“In line with the administration’s commitment to ensuring continuity and efficiency in governance, the names of their proposed replacements, alongside those of other nominees intended to fill vacancies created by the earlier exit of some commissioners, have been forwarded to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
“Governor Bala Mohammed expressed profound appreciation to the outgoing commissioners for their dedicated service, commitment, and valuable contributions to the development of Bauchi State during their tenure.
“He wished them continued success in their future endeavours and reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to build a more responsive, effective, and results-oriented government for the benefit of the people of the state,” he said. (Arise News)
