Gov Yusuf
Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has inaugurated a committee to produce the blueprint for his 2027 governorship campaign, with a mandate to review the implementation of his 2023 policy document, ‘My Commitment for Kano,’ and develop a new roadmap to guide his administration’s second-term agenda.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the governor’s Director General of Media and Publicity, Sunusi Tofa.
According to the statement, the committee will work under the direct supervision of Governor Yusuf and his deputy, Murtala Sule Garo.
It is chaired by Aminu Garba, while the Executive Chairman of the Strategic Governance and Policy Coordination Office, Yusuf Gambo, will serve as secretary.
Other members include Ibrahim Musa, Haladu Muhammad, Sunusi Tofa, Muhammad Halliru, Nana Jibrin, Bashir Muzakkar, Farouk Kurawa, Kabiru Yakubu, Abdulhadi Chula, Yesmin Mukhtar, Halima Sani, Kabiru Shehu, Musa Abdullahi, Nasiru Kabo, and Kabiru Getso.
The committee has been tasked with assessing the implementation of the 2023 blueprint, identifying outstanding policy commitments, and incorporating them into a new document, Blueprint 2.0.
According to the statement, the new blueprint will articulate Governor Yusuf’s priorities and strategic vision for a second term spanning 2027 to 2031.
The committee is also expected to engage stakeholders across government, the private sector, civil society, and other non-state actors to generate policy ideas and recommendations for a comprehensive and inclusive development agenda.
The government said the exercise is aimed at consolidating the achievements of the current administration while laying the foundation for accelerated socio-economic development in Kano State. (Channels TV)
