500 women storm Abuja for maiden International Networking Conference

No fewer than 500 women from various parts of the world will converge on Abuja on Tuesday for the 1st Women International Networking Conference (WIN).

The two-day conference is designed to empower women with the necessary skills to achieve maximum success both for themselves and the organisations they work for, among others.

The conference is being organised by WIN Conference Switzerland, in partnership with Human Resource Working Partners (HURWORPS), Nigeria, an NGO.

HURWORPS said in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Sunday, which the goal of the conference is to “inspire noble values and develop integrated leaders.”

“At WIN, we wholeheartedly believe that change must happen in a paradigm, where feminine values such as compassion, win-win approaches to negotiate, empathy, caring and sharing are protagonist roles.

“Moreover, our programme is carefully designed to inform participants of the realities faced by leaders working in different business markets, sectors and countries in relation to themselves.”

According to HURWORPS, the conference is in line with the Federal Government’s Sustainable Development Goal for Women being implemented by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs.

The conference is being sponsored by world reputable companies and women’s network worldwide, the NGO said. (NAN)
