The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets to the Lagos State Task Force to boost security and safety.

The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, made the donation during a visit to the Task force headquarters in Oshodi, Lagos. He was accompanied by the Director of Administration, Adegbola Lewis.

In a statement, the task Force said the LSSTF management during the visit toured units and personnel dormitories of the agency.

The LSSTF chief said the donation was part of their mandate of the agency to provide logistics, equipment and training for security agencies.

He explained that the anti-riot equipment were intended to improve their personnel readiness and ensure effective management of protests, civil disturbances and other emergency situations.

According to him, the objective is to equip security personnel with the tools needed to contain criminal activities and maintain public order, thereby ensuring the safety of residents across the state.

The Task Force Chairman, Chief Superintendent of Police Adetayo Akerele, who received the items, praised the LSSTF for the gesture.

Akerele assured that the donation would improve the efficiency, morale and safety of their operatives. (The Nation)
