Seyi Tinubu, Cubana Chief Priest
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's son, Seyi, has recated to the failure fledgling politicician Pascal Okechukwu to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.
The APC primary election was held on Saturday as part of preparations for the 2027 general election.
Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest and the Imo State coordinator of the City Boy Movement, had contested for the House of Representatives ticket under the ruling party after purchasing the expression of interest and nomination forms.
He had said his ambition was driven by youth empowerment, grassroots development and the need to encourage greater political participation among young people in the constituency.
However, he did not secure the party’s ticket.
Reacting on Sunday via his Instagram story, Tinubu, the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, encouraged
Seyi Tinubu urged the celebrity businessman-turned-politician to stay positive, noting that setbacks could open doors to bigger victories.
“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” he wrote. (Adapted from a Sunday Vanguard report
