The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Saturday October 22nd, 2016.
NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions are expected over Katsina, Nguru, Kano, Dutse and Maiduguri while areas around Yelwa and Gombe are expected to be partly cloudy. Later in the day sunny conditions will prevail over the region. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 34- 37oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated except Mambila and Obudu with chances of localised thunderstorms in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the high grounds of the central states including Abuja, Lafia, Bida, Kaduna, Lokoja and Jos in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 34oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the inland and the entire coast in the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Ibadan, Oshogbo, Akure, Awka and Enugu. Localised rains are not unlikely over places like Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, Eket and Benin in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31- 33oC.
