The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday October 20, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly Cloudy conditions are expected over Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa, with hazy conditions over Katsina, Kano, Dutse and Nguru in the morning. Later in the day, most of the northern cities are expected to be under sunny with clear sky. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38°C.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy morning is expected over this region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Jalingo and Yola. As the day progresses, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jalingo, Lafia, Makurdi and their environs. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated with localised rains over Lagos, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Eket and Warri in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are expected to prevail in the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30 – 32°C.
