Governor Otti

Gov Alex Otti of Abia has commiserated with the families of 15 Umuahia- based traders who died in an auto crash while returning from a traditional wedding ceremony in Enugu.
The condolence message was conveyed in a statement by Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma.
Otti who received the news with sadness, described the death of the 15 traders as painful and devastating.
“After gathering reliable information on the accident, Otti earlier today directed the Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection, to reach out to the deceased and survivor’s relatives.
“His intention was to offer the necessary support that might be needed by affected families.
“The governor called on drivers, to always observe road safety rules and desist from over speeding or driving against traffic to reduce carnage on our roads,” he said.
On behalf of the government and people of Abia, Otti commiserated with the families and loved ones of the deceased and prayed God to grant their souls eternal repose. (NAN)
