Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGLJM), which has claimed responsibility for blowing up Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipelines in the upland areas of Delta State in recent times, again, bombed the Ughelli Quality Control Centre (QCC) Delivery Line at Iwrhemaro, belonging to the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), a subsidiary of the NNPC in Ughelli North Council area of the state.
The group in a statement by its spokesman, self-styled Brig. Aldo Agbalaja’ said their Akuma Strike Team executed the blast at about 2100hrs of Thursday to signal the commencement of Operation Hammurabi Code.
“At about 2100hours of Thursday, October 13, 2016, the Akuma Strike Team of the Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate brought down the Iwhremaro to the Quality Control Centre (QCC) Delivery Line to signal the commencement of the Operation Hammurabi Code.”
The statement entitled: “Here are the dreaded days: Reward of multinational’s infidelity” stated further they have been patient and reasonable all along, hence their choice to restrict our activities to mild operations that were not aimed at causing critical damages, but it
has now become crystal clear that they are dealing with devious and incorrigible people.
However, company sources says it a dormant facility and of no consequences, even as they claim not to be aware of any blast in recent times.
According to the statement, “we serve this as a notice to the Nigerian government and its conniving multinationals that the Operation Hammurabi Code has been initiated, henceforth, it shall be an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.”
Meanwhile, the Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, is set to commence production at its Forcados Export Terminal having only recently completed the repairs of its destroyed export facilities by members of the Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, in the wake of renewed militancy in the region.
The Ughelli QCC delivery line blown up by the NDGLJM was formerly being operated by the SPDC until it divested its interest in the Joint Venture to NPDC. (Independent)
