A 39-year-old Busayo Okubadejo, staff of Sumal Oluyole, Ibadan, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly stabbing his colleague at work.
Okubadejo was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Elisha Tellang, told the court that Okubadejo committed the offence on Jan.27, at about 2.30 p.m., at the aforementioned company.
Tellang alleged that the defendant stabbed his colleague, Abiodun Moses, on his left hand with a broken bottle.
He said that the defendant and the complainant (his colleague) were engaged in an argument over an issue, which resulted in the defendant losing his temper and stabbing his colleague.
He said that the offence contravened the provision of Section 355 of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Moyosore Atanda, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Feb.27, for hearing. (NAN)
