The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has sought partnership and sponsorship from the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) ahead of the 2026 Nigerian Public Relations Week (NPRW) National Conference scheduled to hold in Kaduna State.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Zakari Jamilu Muhammad, anipr, Head of Corporate Communications, KADIRS.
According to the statement, a delegation of the Institute led by the State Vice Chairman, Mr. Muhammad Abdullahi, mnipr, paid a courtesy and collaborative visit to KADIRS on Wednesday, 28 January 2026.
The delegation was received on behalf of the Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Comrade Jerry Adams, by the Executive Director, Revenue Operations, Dr. Muhammad Lawal, and the Executive Director, Standards and Compliance, Alhaji Ali Garba Gora, who conveyed the Chairman’s goodwill to the visitors.
In his remarks, Dr. Lawal assured the Institute of KADIRS’ readiness to support the conference, proposing the Service’s participation through a technical presentation and a possible sub-theme titled “From New Tax Law to New Cash Flow.” He said the conference would provide an opportunity to deepen public understanding of tax reforms and revenue administration.
Also speaking, Alhaji Ali Garba Gora pledged KADIRS’ willingness to register and sponsor staff members to attend the conference, noting the critical role of public relations in effective governance and citizen engagement.
Speaking on behalf of the NIPR State Chairman, Mr. Abdullahi thanked the KADIRS management for the warm reception and highlighted the Institute’s legacy, as well as the leadership role of the Kaduna State Chapter in Northern Nigeria. He disclosed that the hosting rights for the conference were secured with the support and approval of the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani.
The week-long national conference is scheduled to hold from Monday, 20 to Friday, 24 April 2026, at the Umar Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Kaduna, under the theme “Food Security: From Policy Papers to Public Plate.” The event is expected to attract over 2,000 delegates from across the Federation.
The meeting ended with both institutions reaffirming their commitment to collaboration in advancing public communication, governance and policy engagement. Directors and Heads of Units of KADIRS were also in attendance.
