Shakeup in ITF; new DG redeploys 45 officers

The newly-appointed Director General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Sir Joseph Ari, has directed the deployment of 45 officers, some of them directors in the first phase of a major shakeup on his first day in office, last Thursday.

Daily Trust yesterday, had exclusive seen a circular of the deployment signed by the new DG himself, in which the first batch of transfers was made.
Three of the deployed officers are managers, including Mr. Dickson Onuoha, who was returned to head Procurement, after he served as acting chief executive for seven months; as well as Ibrahim Lawal, and Hassan Umaru, who are now to head Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Administration and Human Resource Development, respectively.
A source within told our reporter that over about 90 percent are senior officers, now posted across the country, in the bid to reposition the organisation to deliver on the DG’s mandate to serve as a platform for the development of innovative skills. (Daily Trust)
