The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday, September 15, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected in the region during the morning hours. There are prospects of thunderstorms over Katsina, Kano, Bauchi, Gombe and Yobe later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 32°C.
CENTRAL STATES: The area is anticipated to be cloudy with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Yelwa, Minna, Abuja and Lokoja during the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over places such as Lafia, Kaduna, Jos and Bauchi axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25 – 31°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness with chances of localised rains is anticipated over the coastal cities such as Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa and Lagos during the morning hours. Isolated thunderstorms/rain showers are probable over the region most especially the inland cities like Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27 – 30°C.
