Rains likely today in Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Lagos, Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Obudu and Asaba: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, September 14, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorms are expected over Sokoto, Gusau, Kano, Yelwa, Katsina, Dutse and Maiduguri in the morning with prospects of localised thunderstorms over most parts of the region in the afternoon hours. Maximum temperature for the day is expected to be in the range of 29 – 33°C.

CENTRAL STATES: Morning thunderstorms are expected over Minna, Bida, Ilorin, Bauchi, Gombe, Mambila and some parts of Abuja. There are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi and Lokoja in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperature for the day is expected to be in the range of 28 – 30°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness with chances of rain is anticipated over the inland cities of the southwest to the coast such as Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa and Lagos during the morning hours. Rains are probable over the region most especially, the inland cities like Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Obudu and Asaba in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperature for the day is expected to be in the range of 28 – 30°C.
