
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Monday, September 12, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over Sokoto, Gusau, Kano, Katsina and Yelwa in the morning. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Nguru and Maiduguri in the afternoon and evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 – 31°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Morning cloudiness is expected with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Ibi, Yola and mambila axis. There will be possibility of localised thunderstorm over some parts of the central cities including Abuja, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Lokoja and Bida in the afternoon and evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 26 – 29°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are chances of localised rain showers over the coastal cities of southwest and southeast in the morning. There will be possibility of localised thunderstorms over Calabar, Port Harcourt and Lagos including Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon and evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25 – 30°C.
