Kanye West’s music label dumps D’banj

After much speculations about D’banj’s status in Kanye West’s GOOD music label, it has finally been confirmed that the Koko master is no longer a member.

GOOD music recently released an updated list of its members on their official twitter page. The list was made up of the label’s president Kanye, Pusha T, Big Sean, John Legend, Teyana Taylor, and newly signed acts, Tyga and Desiigner.
Just days ago, D’banj was still included on the list that was shared online when the label announced it has signed rappers Tyga and Migos. This caused a buzz amongst the Emergency crooner’s fans who were glad he was still affiliated with Kanye’s label.
Now, it appears D’banj and a couple of other artistes have been dropped by the label.
D’banj was signed to GOOD music in 2011 and throughout his time with the label, he failed to release an album. He was only featured on the label’s compilation album Cruel Summer in 2012 and also made a cameo in Kanye’s Mercy, for which he was mocked for by Nigerians. (Independent)
