The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, September 9, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over the region in the morning hours. There are prospects of thundery activities over Dutse, Maiduguri, Gombe, Potiskum, Damaturu, Yelwa, Gusau, Kano and Katsina in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30- 35°C.

CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorm is anticipated over Abuja, Minna, Bida, Makurdi, Jalingo, Mambilla Plateau, Yola, Ibi, Lafia and Lokoja in the morning. In the afternoon/evening period most places are expected to be cloudy except Jos, Ibi, Lafia and Bauchi with chances of thunderstorm. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25- 31°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Rain is expected over Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Abeokuta, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu, Awka, Onitsha, Asaba, Eket, Calabar, Warri and Port Harcourt in the morning and afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 30°C.
