Police assures FCT residents of adequate security during Eid-el-kabir

As part of security arrangement to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-kabir celebration in the Federal Capital Territory, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa, has ordered a massive deployment of plain-cloth and uniformed Police operatives around praying grounds, shopping malls, gardens, recreational spots, critical infrastructures, motor parks and other areas that will be a beehive of activities while the event is being commemorated, the FCT Police Command has said. In a statement, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Anjuguri Manzah, said this arrangement also includes the strategic deployment of personnel on foot and motorised patrols along all streets and major roads across the FCT.

Mustafa issued the directive this week at the Command Headquarters during the Command strategic operational meeting, which was attended by Heads of Department, Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers attached to the Command.
While felicitating with all Muslim faithful in the FCT, the Commissioner of Police advised worshippers to guard against carrying bags and baggage to prayer grounds.
