
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather conditions for today, Thursday, September 8, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy condition is expected over most parts of the region with chances of localised thunderstorms over Jigawa, Dutse and Bauchi in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Sokoto, Gusau, Kano and Yelwa later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31- 34oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Localised thunderstorm is expected over the Abuja, Kaduna, Minna and Jalingo axis in the morning. Thunderstorms are expected over the high grounds of the central cities including Abuja, Zaria, Jos, Bida, Markudi and Lafia in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27- 31oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Rain showers are expected over the region in the morning. There are prospects of rains/showers over the inland and coastal cities such as Lagos, Delta, Calabar and Port Harcourt including Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27- 29oC.
