National Assembly postpones resumption to September 20

The National Assembly has postponed the resumption date of Nigerian Senators and Representatives members from September 13, as earlier scheduled, to September 20, 2016.

Clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Omolori, in a statement made available to journalists today in Abuja, requested that all lawmakers must resume sitting on the rescheduled date.
News Express recalls that the National Assembly had on July 21 proceeded on a seven-week recess, in hopes of reconvening on September 13.
