
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, September 4, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over most parts of the region in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated rain showers over Sokoto, Gusau, Kano and Yelwa later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31-35°C.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness is expected with slim chances of early morning isolated light rains over Abuja and its environs. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over the high grounds of the central cities including Abuja, Kaduna, Jos and Nassarawa in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 26-30°C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is expected over the region in the morning. Localised rains/showers are not unlikely over the inland and coastal cities such as Lagos, Delta, Calabar and Port Harcourt including Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours.
