The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, 2, September, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over Sokoto and Gusau axis with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Kano, Dutse, Maiduguri and Damaturu in the morning. In the afternoon/evening hours, there are chances of thunderstorms over the entire region. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29 - 33oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Isolated thunderstorms are anticipated over the region in the morning hours over Jalingo, Bauchi, Mambila, Abuja and Lafia axis. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over places like Abuja, Jos, Bauchi, Minna, Kaduna and Taraba during the afternoon/evening. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 26 - 30oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over the entire inland cities with chances of localised rains over Ikom, Ogoja, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Umuahia and Obudu in the morning. There are chances of rainfall activities over the entire southern cities in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28 - 30oC.
