The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially announced the approved Hajj fare for the 2026 pilgrimage season, following consultations with relevant stakeholders and approval from the Federal Government.
In a statement issued by the Chairman/CEO, Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, late Friday night September 28, 2025, the Commission outlined the fare structure across different zones:
1. Maiduguri–Yola Zone (covering Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba States) – N8,118,333.67
2. Other Northern States – N8,244,813.67
3. Southern States – N8,561,013.67
According to NAHCON, the new fares represent an average reduction of N200,000 compared to last year’s rates, offering some relief to intending pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the NAHCON delegation currently in Saudi Arabia has finalized agreements with the 2026 Hajj Service Provider, Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya, as well as the designated Transportation Company, Daleel Al-Ma'aleem.
Professor Abdullahi urged intending pilgrims to ensure that their payments are completed on or before December 31, 2025 to secure their slots.
