Aftermath of Brazil-Nigeria Business Forum: Tochil-Arbid Agricultural Hub Center Signs Pact For Agro Processing Plant In Nigeria, Africa

The yearning for massive production and equitable distribution of valuable cash crops in Nigeria is about to be realised following the latest contract signed by one of the country's largest investors, Ambassador Dr. Tochil Nwaneri, with Arbid S Arbid Agropecuaria of Brazil.

The agreement was signed by both parties in Brazil on Thursday, August 28, 2025, officially bearing the joint venture name "Tochil-Arbid Agricultural Hub Center Co. Ltd".

While Amb. Dr. Tochil Nwaneri represented his brand being the Chairman of Tochil Group of Companies, Mr. Giuliano Arbid stood for his company as the Chairman of Arbid S Arbid Agropecuaria of Brazil.

News Express reports that Arbid processes major cash crops like cotton, yellow corn, soy beans, and sugar in large quantities and by the virtue of the new contract, would enter into Nigerian markets, courtesy of Amb. Nwaneri.

Briefing newsmen after the paper works, the Tochil Group Chairman hinted that it was an effort geared towards the development of farming and distribution of the aforementioned cash crops in Nigeria.

He expressed confidence that the joint venture he embarked upon with Arbid will further enhance mega farming considering the fact that his Brazilian partner is an expert in the field who wields sophisticated modern farming and processing equipment.

Against this backdrop, Nwaneri expressed optimism “that having signed the contract which reads into 360,000 metric tons including agro processing, it is a new dawn for Nigerians and other African countries.”

Furthermore, the Nigeria-born entrepreneur, employer of labour and boardroom strategist opined that with the new contract, “the market is open in Nigeria and across Africa.”

He added that through this move, “Nigeria stands a great chance of boasting in the production of cotton, yellow corn, soy beans, and sugar with other agro products.”
