The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has reaffirmed its commitment to due process, accountability, and efficient service delivery amid media reports on its operations and unverified allegations.
In a statement issued by its Assistant Director, Information and Publication, Fatima Sanda Usara, on behalf of the Chairman/CEO on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the Commission stressed that it remains dedicated to its mandate with “the highest sense of responsibility, honesty, and accountability.”
NAHCON said it continues to maintain close cooperation with relevant government agencies, including anti-corruption and regulatory bodies, and would not shield any staff or process found wanting.
The Commission, however, appealed to the media and public to refrain from speculations and allow appropriate authorities to conclude their work without subjecting individuals to trial by media. “We are confident that whatever the truth is, it will emerge through the appropriate channels,” the statement noted.
The Commission further disclosed that it remains focused on post-Hajj evaluations, addressing operational challenges, and strengthening measures for improved future Hajj services.
