Chioma Adeleke, wife of Nigerian music star, Davido, says her husband’s support has transformed her life, helping her overcome personal challenges, and inspiring her to pursue her passions beyond family responsibilities.

In an interview with NOIRETV’s Aziza Major, Chioma revealed that Davido not only plays the role of a partner, but actively encourages her ambitions.

“David actually cares about my dreams,” she said. “I’ve faced a lot of challenges over time, so he would always ask me, ‘Chi, apart from all of this, what do you actually want to do?’

“We have plans and things coming up, hopefully next year. He really cares about the things I want to do apart from being his wife and the mother of his kids.”

Chioma, who has maintained a graceful public image, attributed her composure to her upbringing. “My mom is just like this. So I’ve always been like this,” she said with a smile.

Despite enduring the devastating loss of their first child, Ifeanyi, in 2022, she credited Davido’s encouragement as a constant source of strength.

The couple who met during their university days, share three children, including twins born in 2023, and are currently rounding off their wedding celebrations with a white wedding planned in Miami. (Nigerian Tribune)
