
The Rivers State Police Command has rescued a thirteen year old girl, a lecturer and other victims who were kidnapped recently in the state.
The thirteen year old girl was said to have been kidnapped from her home at Egberu Afam community, Oyigbo also the lecturer of the University of Port Harcourt was kidnapped recently at the university’s environment.
This was made known by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni during the parade of suspected members of cult groups, robbers and kidnappers in the premises of the command.
According to him, the command has also clamped down on some deadly gangs that have been terrorising Ahoada East and other communities in the state, recovering over 70 arms and ammunition in two weeks.
The Command called on residents to always avail the police with useful information.
