Budget Scandal: Jibrin asks Jagaba Adams to prepare for a long life term in jail

Ex-Chairman of Appropriation Committee in the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin has advised his colleague Hon. Jagaba Adams Jagaba, Chairman, House Committee on Interior, to start preparing for a long life in jail, owing to allegations leveled against him on the senseless insertions into the 2016 Budget.

Jibrin said on Tuesday afternoon in a statement, that "Hon Jagaba Adams is obviously panicking even before seeing the allegations I made on him, because he will now face the same anti corruption agencies like EFCC that he terrorized in the past for corrupt and selfish reasons."

He added that it was the same Jagaba Adams, while serving as Chairman, House Committee on Financial Crime, during the 7th Senate that was said to have been handed the $500,000 alleged to have been received by Faruk Lawan from Mr. Femi Otedola. The money has since disappeared."

Jibrin said Hon. Jagaba is one of the members that former President Obasanjo was referring to when he said there are rogues and thieves in the House who came to Abuja on "molue", adding that he is a dishonorable member and a shame to the institution.

Jibrin dared Jagaba that instead of responding to allegations against him or wait for his imminent invitation from the anti corruption agencies; he made a rehearsal of their usual lines of lies to blackmail and tarnish his (Jibrin’s) image.
