
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Monday, July 18, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is anticipated over most parts of the regions with chances of localised thunderstorms over Bauchi, Gombe axis in the morning. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Sokoto, Gusau, Yelwa and Maiduguri axis later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 33oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected in the region. There are possibilities of isolated thunderstorms to affect the high grounds of the central cities including Abuja, Jos, Nasarawa, Lokoja and Ibi in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 25- 30oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy situation is expected in the morning. Localised rains/showers are not unlikely over the inland and coastal cities such as Lagos, Delta, Calabar and Port- Harcourt including Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27- 29oC.
