The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Saturday, July 16, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Localised thunderstorms are expected over Maiduguri, Damaturu, Katsina, Kano, Dutse, Bauchi and Potiskum axis in the morning hours, while Sokoto and Yelwa axis will experience thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 31 - 34oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions with prospects of rains are expected over the region with Abuja, Jos, Kaduna, Minna and Bida during the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely during the late afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25 - 32oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with prospects of rains over the inland cities such as; Enugu, Makurdi, Owerri, Benin, Obudu and Awka during morning hours. There are prospects of rains over the coastal cities such as Warri, Calabar, Eket, Uyo, Port Harcourt and Yenagoa during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27-30oC.
