Gen. Isah, ex-ICC Commander, loses mother

Hajia Nasara Isah, mother of Major General Mohammed Danhanne Isah, former Commander of Infantry Corps and Centre, ICC, Jaji, Kaduna State, after a protracted illness, aged 98.

Family sources said she died around 3:55am on Friday in Ribah, Danko/Wasagu Local Government of Kebbi State.

Gen Isah, when contacted, also confirmed the death. “Yes, I lost my mother this morning at Ribah. The family is preparing for her burial by 2pm today in Ribah, according to Islamic rites,” he said.

Hajia Nasara is survived by five children, with Gen. Isah being the only male.

In early condolences, Governor of Kebbi State Atiku Bagudu, his deputy Samaila Dabai Yombe, Deputy Senate Leader representing Kebbi South Senatorial zone, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, and Emir of Zuru, retired Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Sani Sami II, prayed to Allah to grant her eternal life and the family, the fortitude to bear the loss.
