
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, July 15, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: There are prospects of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Yelwa and Gusau areas in the morning and cloudiness over the Northwest in the afternoon. Over the North Eastern region, rains are anticipated around Potiskim, Nguru, Dutse, Damaturu and Adamawa in the morning and thunderstorm during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 32 - 35oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the region with likelihood of rains around Abuja, Lafia, Jos, Southern Kaduna, Minna, Yola, Bauchi and the Mambilla plateau during the morning hours. There are prospects of rain showers/Thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25 - 31oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the Western part of the South during the forecast period and rains in the Eastern half during morning hours. There are prospects of localised rains over Benin, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Warri, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Ogoja and Yenagoa during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27-30oC.
