Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has congratulated Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, on the occasion of his 82^nd birthday today, Wednesday, July 13, 2016.

“As you clock 82 today, I join you, your immediate family, Africa and indeed, the world at large in celebrating the abundant grace of God on your impactful and successful life,” Governor Amosun said.

The Ogun State Governor added that, “your life has been an eventful one spiced with numerous accomplishments and a track record of excellence. With your towering intellect, you have been a blessing to Nigeria, Africa and indeed the whole world.”

Governor Amosun said: “Nigeria has benefitted immensely from your fountain of knowledge, wealth of experience, leadership qualities and political interventions at critical stages of the development of our dear country.”

The Governor therefore prayed that the good Lord would preserve Professor Soyinka for many more years in good health.

This, the Governor said: “is so that you can continue to make significant contributions to the overall development of Nigeria.”
