The Women Rescue and Firefighters Forum (WRFFF), a leading Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) dedicated to supporting and empowering women in rescue and firefighting, has launched a comprehensive public appeal for donations.
The Initiative, according to the statement released by the group, aims to garner support from stakeholders, well-meaning Nigerians, and the wider public to advance the capabilities of women in emergency response and strengthen community resilience across Nigeria.
WRFFF plays a pivotal role in providing essential training, resources, and advocacy for women working in the challenging environments of rescue and firefighting.
?Our mission is to help women in Rescue, emergency and firefighting to give strength, educate and advocate for them and ensure their welfare. We are set to take care of the children of women who sustain injuries and or die while on duties,? the group noted.
The statement noted that the funds raised through the public appeal will be strategically allocated to impactful projects, including advanced training programs, essential equipment procurement, community outreach and education, and scholarships and mentorship programs.
?We are immensely proud of the dedication and bravery of the women who serve our communities as Firefighters and rescuers.
?This fundraising campaign is a crucial step in ensuring that they have the resources, training, and support they need to continue their vital work. We believe that investing in these women is an investment in the safety and well-being of all Nigerians,? the group leadership said.
WRFFF emphasized that every contribution, regardless of size, will make a tangible difference in the lives of the dedicated women and the communities they serve. Donations are tax-deductible, and donors will receive a formal acknowledgment of their generosity.
To contribute to the life-saving work of The Women Rescue and Firefighters Forum (WRFFF), the organisation urged the public to send their donations to the following account:
