Okungbowa, who was until recently the coordinator of the Edo State Public Safety Response Team (PSRT) — now suspended by the state government — was arrested following a viral video in which he was seen spraying and mutilating the naira at a bar on 9 March 2025.
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale said he would be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
