The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Wednesday, July 6, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is anticipated over Sokoto, Potiskum, Yelwa and Nguru in the morning with chances of localised thunderstorms over Kano and Katsina axis. Localised thunderstorms are also expected over Maiduguri in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 33- 37 oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Abuja, Kaduna, Kano and Zaria are expected to have localised thunderstorms in the morning. Later in the day, there are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the high grounds of the central states including Abuja, Minna, Lafia and Ibi. Maximum
temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 34 oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected over the entire inland cities in the morning. Possibilities of isolated thunderstorms over most parts of the coast and inland cities especially over Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri , Oshogbo , Akure, Ibadan, Owerri and Awka during the afternoon /evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31- 33 oC.
