The Police Service Commission (PSC) yesterday approved the appointment of seven Deputy Inspectors-General of Police to man the seven management departments of the service.

The Commission which said it has since conveyed the approval to the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, for implementation, also said the seven new DIGs would be presented with their letters of promotion in due course.

Those promoted are AIG Shuaibu Gambo, who is now DIG, Department of Finance and Administration; CP Joshak Habila, DIG, Department of Operations; CP Maigari Abbati Dikko, DIG, Department of Logistics and Supply; and CP H. M. Dagala, DIG, Department of FCIID.

Others are CP Emmanuel T. Inyang, DIG, Department of Training and Development, CP Ntom Chukwu, DIG, Department of Research and Planning; CP Folusho A. Adebanjo, DIG Department of ICT; and CP Abdul Bube, AIG Force Secretary.
