The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Saturday, July 2, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition is anticipated over Sokoto, Kano, Potiskum, in the morning with chances of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Katsina and Dutse in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31- 33 oC.
CENTRAL STATES: There are chances of localised thunderstorms over the high grounds of the central states including Abuja, Kaduna, Lafia and Ibi. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over Abuja, Jalingo and Lafia in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 26- 33 o C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over most parts of the coast and inland cities with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Enugu, Awka and Owerri in the morning. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over places like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, Oshogbo, Akure and Ibadan during the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 31 oC.
