Sierra Leone’s Deputy High Commissioner kidnapped in Kaduna

Deputy High Commissioner of Sierra Leone to Nigeria, Maj. Gen. Alfred Nelson (rtd.), has been kidnapped along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway, reports said.

Nelson was said to have been abducted on Thursday by unknown persons while going to Kaduna to honour an invitation by the military for a programme that could not be immediately ascertained.

Efforts by officials of the Sierra Leonean Embassy to reach the envoy on his phone since Thursday have reportedly proved abortive.
