The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday, June 30, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: There are prospects of thunderstorms over Kano, Katsina, Gusau and Kebbi during the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are most likely over Maiduguri, Potiskum, Nguru and their environs by afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 31-34 o C.

CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorms are likely over Abuja, Bida and Mambila Plateau axis during the morning hours while cloudy conditions with prospects of rain showers are expected over some parts of the region by evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 26-32 o C.

SOUTHERN STATES: We expect a cloudy morning over this region with light showers around Eket and Yenagoa. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28-32 o C.
